Sensory integration therapy is for children with autistic spectrum disorders.
Children with TSA need special diets and special sensorial programs that take place in a specific space like the sensory integration room.
What is the sensory integration room?
The sensory room is a dedicated space where the child feels safe along with a therapist meant to help him create his own information processing rhythm.
Sensory room at Casa Faenza.
Even though there are some sensory rooms in Timișoara, they aren’t always well equipped or they don’t have a professional therapist. Also the access to this kind of therapy is limited.
We decided to help Casa Faenza by providing specific equipment for this kind of room and also by supporting the costs of certification of a therapist.
The access to this therapy will be free.
On august 4, 2016, after submitting a project to Kiwanis International we have been informed that we will be given a financial support. This helped us a lot in finishing the room.
The sensory integration room is operational starting with 2017.
